On Friday, check out the Telluride Film Festival on Tour at the Dolores Community Center, beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are just $10, children 12 and under are free.
The annual event is a fundraiser for the June 10 Dolores River Festival, produced by Greater Dolores Action. Eleven award-winning adventure films from the Telluride Mountainfilm festival will be shown. And there will be a silent auction with the latest in outdoor gear and local goods and services. Some of the items include a stand up board from 4Corners River Sports, and Paddle Cat from Southwest Raft and Jeep, river cabin and yurt rentals, rafting items, and outdoor gear.
Local beer and margaritas will be available, and Montezuma Mexican Restaurant will be serving up tacos for sale.
Chamber banquetThen on Saturday, the Dolores Chamber of Commerce presents the Gin and Jazz social banquet and fundraiser at the Dolores Community Center.
The annual spring banquet theme is The Roaring ’20s, and marks the 80th year of the Dolores Chamber. The event will feature dinner, costume contest, silent auction, and entertainment. The business and citizen of the year will also be announced. The silent auction goes towards scholarships for local students. Cocktails are at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m., and the award ceremony starts at 8:45 p.m.
