Charles and Robyn Story of Cortez will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 27, 2011. They were married August 25, 1961, at First Christian Church in Long Beach, Calif., by the bride’s father, Rev. Leroy B. Mills. Their attendants were Harriet Evans and Brian Story, Charles’ brother. They met at Pacific Bible Seminary in Long Beach. Charles served churches in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska and Colorado, and the Storys were also missionaries on the Navajo Reservation. Robyn is retired after teaching special education in all grades in New Mexico and Colorado. The have two children, Chuck and his wife Carol of Cortez, and Stephen and his wife Vanessa, of Bellingham, Wash. They have two grandchildren, Gillian and William. Charles and Robyn Story will celebrate their anniversary with a barbecue on Saturday, August 27, hosted by family and friends at the Four Corners Christian Campground at Summit Lake.
