Tier 2 projects in S.W. Colorado

In addition to its Tier 1 list, the Colorado Department of Transportation has identified lower priority projects. Included in the list are secondary portions of larger projects, such as the widening of U.S. Highway 550 south and the Grandview Interchange.
U.S. 160: Reconstruction and shoulder widening, mile markers 0 to 8. Cost: $16 million. U.S. 160: Wildlife mitigation, Mancos to Pagosa Springs. Cost: $10 million.U.S. 160: Elmore’s east improvement completion, including widening, access improvements and wildlife mitigation. Cost: $16 million for the Tier 2 portion.U.S. 160: Dry Creek – addition of passing lanes and mobility improvements, including intersection relocation at CR 223. Cost: $21.5 millionU.S. 550 south: Sunnyside widening to a four-lane road and various improvements. Cost $19.6 million for the Tier 2 portion.U.S. 550/U.S. 160: Completion of the connection at the Grandview Interchange. The Tier 2 portion of this project includes two additional lanes. Cost: $20 million.State Highway 140: New Mexico state line to Hesperus – widening of shoulders and rehabilitation and reconstruction of three bridges.
