Dear Editor:
I am disappointed every week when the Service News is empty. The George Geer Memorial Car Show article reminded me of this fine young man I watched grow up and then give his life for his country. The lost was tragic and I miss him dearly. That said, there are many of our local families with family members serving in the military and I for one believe we could have a new article in every issue about these members of our community that are serving in the Armed Forces. Can we, please, make an effort to seek out the stories of these fine memebers of our society. Families, will you please share your stories. This space in the living section of the paper should not go empty. Lets not wait for more tragic news before we read about our local heros serving their country and preserving the freedoms of those of us left here at home.
