3:58 p.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to comply at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:45 p.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to comply at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
7:54 p.m.: Deputies towed a vehicle for obstructing traffic near the intersection of County Roads 25 and H. The vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe that was parked mostly in the northbound lane of County Road 25, was locked and deputies were unable to immediately determine who the owner was.
Friday, March 24
7:23 p.m.: A woman turned herself in to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on two warrants.
11 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of theft in the 21000 block of County Road N. A woman claimed a large amount of pig and lamb meat had been stolen from her outdoor freezer, which someone had also unplugged. The case remains under investigation.
Saturday, March 25
3:06 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 45000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on a federal warrant and on suspicion of third-degree assault. A caretaker of property owned by the man’s business partner accused the man of hitting him several times when he went to the main residence power supply to set the water controls for his house. The caretaker had also captured the incident on video.
4:56 p.m.: A man was arrested at Woody’s Gas Station, 174 U.S. Highway 160, on suspicion of DUI.
9:14 a.m.: A woman was issued a summons for obstructing a police officer in the 25000 block of County Road G. A man called the sheriff’s office to report a civil issue, claiming that his common-law wife was refusing to give him the keys to his truck, which he needed to go to work. When deputies arrived, the woman in question claimed the man had hit her. When the responding deputy tried to question her further, she allegedly ran back into the house, tried to slam the door in his face, hit him with the door and fought him when he tried to get her to come outside. The deputy exposed her to a stun gun three times, the first two being ineffective due to a leather jacket she was wearing. After being arrested, the woman said she was having a heart attack and was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital for treatment. She was released later the same day.
11:28 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of third-degree assault in the 18000 block of Colorado State Highway 145. A man claimed his girlfriend’s juvenile daughter and her friend had sprayed him in the face with pepper spray during an argument and attempted to break down the door of his bedroom with a baseball bat, creating a large hole in the door. Later he said he did not want to press charges against the juvenile, since she would be moving out of state to live with her father soon.
Sunday, March 26
10:33 a.m.: A woman was issued a summons in the 15000 block of County Road 31 on suspicion of a dog-at-large violation after a neighbor reported her dog had attacked his.
4:30 p.m.: A vehicle that had been reported stolen after an accident in the 15000 block of County Road 17 was found in the 21000 block of County Road U and returned to the owner.
3:15 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 17000 block of Colorado Highway 145 on a warrant for failure to appear after she was pulled over for speeding.
Monday, March 27
1:10 a.m.: A woman was issued a summons in the 12000 block of Colorado Highway 491 on suspicion of driving under restraint after she was pulled over for speeding.
7:30 p.m.: A patient at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, reported that he had been in a dirt bike accident the day before. He initially told responding deputies the accident had occurred in a friend’s hay field, but after the friend denied it, the patient admitted he had crashed on private property in Hesperus. Since the man couldn’t remember exactly where the accident occurred, the responding deputy closed the investigation.
12:30 p.m.: Deputies responded to a traffic accident in front of Dolores High School, 1301 Central Ave., Dolores. A driver said he had accidentally backed a Dolores School maintenance truck into a parked and unoccupied car belonging to a student at the high school. No injuries were reported, and the two drivers exchanged insurance information.
