I must thank the folks that put on the ag expo for a wonderful afternoon of fun for the residents at Vista Grande Inn. We arrived at the gate Thursday afternoon in hopes of seeing the draft horse parade. Most of our residents are in wheelchairs, so getting around can be difficult. The gentleman at the gate greeted us and arranged to have us escorted into the main grounds. Two very nice young people led us to the grounds where we had a birds-eye view of the tractors, horses and wagons. After the parade, we were shown to the back of the building for easy unloading. Once inside, the vendors were very kind with their greetings and extra generous with their wares. The residents were thrilled to be out in their community, many having an agricultural background. An extra thanks to Paula and Lynn Neil who have met us at the ag expo for several years to help us escort the residents around the facility, and to the kettlecorn vendor for sharing your popcorn with all of us, even sending a big bag home for the ride! All in all, our community should be very proud to offer this event to the public. Thank you all.
Sincerely,
Kim McDonnell, Activity Director
