The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs recently added Joe Bishop to its board of directors.
Bishop graduated in architecture from University of Texas in 1976, started an architectural firm in 1979, gradually transitioned to commercial real estate development, started Bishop Development Co. in the 1990s, and moved to Durango in 2007. He formed 30 partnerships and ventures in seven states during his career.
Bishop formerly was program director of SOS Outreach Durango and served on the iAM Music Institute board, and currently serves on the SOS local advisory board and Animas Water Company board, and works as a business advisor at the Fort Lewis College Small Business Development Center.
