Dear Editor:
So now were whiney along with greedy. How awful all us seniors must be to have such descriptions directed at us. Exactly what did we do to earn these remarks and made to be the problem with the debt?
The gentleman who wrote that letter is very lucky he doesnt need Social Security to survive. Neither do I and my husband. We would survive. It would be a bit harder, but coming from a generation who is used to sacrifices and working to take care of ourselves, we know we can do it. Thats great for us and many others who have been lucky but there are millions of seniors out there who have nothing but their SS, and believe me it doesnt even start to give them an adequate way of life.
In all this discussion I saw nothing about all the money going to illegals, environmentalists, and did you know we guarantee Egypts economic sovereignty? Isnt that just nifty? Now we find if this debt deal goes through theres an automatic trigger so if they run out of money the Military and Medicare will be cut to cover it. Guess they forgot that Medicare is already going to be cut a half a trillion in Obamacare.
Lets see, now. The ones they will cut are the military who protect our freedoms and the seniors who worked hard to build this country only to see it destroyed by the left and the moderate Republicans.
In regard to Denton Mays question what would Jesus do, right about now I do believe if you ask him that question considering the disregard for the elderly and the military, his response would be to slap your face for being a belligerent brat.
