Willie and Shamie Busing are celebrating 50 years of marriage. Friends and family are invited to an open house event from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 31, hosted by their children Jerald Busing of Abilene, Kan., and Verinia Fosnot and Thadd Busing of Cortez. The celebration will take place at Arriola Bible Church, 15998 Road 22, Dolores. Willie and Shamie were married Aug. 26, 1961, in Otis, Colo. The couple reside in Cortez.
