I listened to the news recently. I couldn’t sleep afterwards. A story was related about the security cost and measures for Trump Tower and surrounding areas in New York City.
The costs to perform this feat of security gymnastics is in the multi-millions so far. The cost is being born by the taxpayers of this country.
Trump doesn’t even pay taxes, nor has he released his tax returns as promised. The businesses adjacent to this blocked-off area of the city are already suffering the effects of decreased foot and vehicular traffic with declining revenues, not to mention the disruption of commerce and daily lives. All this, so that his ten-year-son doesn’t have to be inconvenienced by changing schools mid year.
School kids in the inner cities that Trump talked so much about helping won’t get the same treatment when they are afraid to go to school for security reasons, or if their schools are closed due to lack of funds.
“Draining the swamp” is really looking like a cesspool.
