P. Edmund Razma, M.D., has joined the Southwest Medical Group as a full-time specialist in pulmonary disease and sleep medicine.
Razma earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed his fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center.
“For pulmonary medicine, I see people with any lung disorder,” Razma said in a news release from Southwest Memorial Hospital. Some of those include breathing problems such as asthma, COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, Occupational Lung Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension. For sleep medicine, I treat all sleep disorders – including insomnia, narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea. I became interested in sleep medicine because it is a growing field and we are understanding more and more how sleep affects health.”
Razma joins the Sleep Center team led by Felix Monteagudo. Razma works with in inpatient and outpatients.
The Southwest Health System Diagnostic Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and offers a full line of services to diagnose and treat more than 150 different sleep disorders. The sleep center features state-of-the-art sleep monitoring equipment, newly remodeled sleep rooms, and a comfortable environment to relax and receive the full-benefits of a sleep study.
