We have had pleasant experiences as new visitors to the Anasazi Heritage Center and have wished to say thank you for the lovely grounds, trails and preservation. Unfortunately, an encounter with a park employee has left a lasting negative impact upon us.
Early Sunday morning, Dec. 18th, we were met with a shouting female park employee who harangued us the moment we stepped from our vehicle to get our dog on a leash immediately.
Please note: early morning, the parking lot was empty, we were at our vehicle and in the process of leashing our dog for a walk.
Our hope is that visitors in the future be met with a welcoming spirit and the grace one should expect from a public employee.
Our experience, however, bordered on harassment.
