Empire Electric Association is offering $1,000 educational scholarships for high school seniors planning to go to college and $500 scholarships for students pursuing a vocational/technical certificate as a lineman or other electrical related trade.
Six scholarships are available for adults who are pursuing further education. Applicants must be EEA members, a spouse or a dependent of a member.
High school seniors may pick up an application from their guidance counselor’s office, at EEA headquarters at 801 N. Broadway, Cortez, or download one from eea.coop.
Adult applications may be picked up at EEA headquarters or downloaded from eea.coop.
Applications for student and adult scholarships must be received by Wednesday, Feb. 15.
