Wolf Pack wins Boarder Battle

The U-14 Cortez Wolf Pack girls soccer team took first place in the Grand Junction, Boarder Battle soccer tournament on Sunday, May 22. The Wolf Pack consists of four sixth-graders, five seventh-graders and four eighth-graders. Other teams in the tournament consisted of all eighth-graders from across Colorado. The team is, back row from left to right, Emma Youngquist, Cassidy Leonard, Nichole Kibel, Maddy Archuleta, Weslie Kirks and Cortney Cashner; and, front row from left, Madison Mahaffey, Naomi Pinnecoose, Kyla Tarr, Raegan Littlefield, Miceal Allsup and Gabrielle Wolf. Goalkeeper Stevee Brenner is in front. Coaches Chris Wolf and Nathan Ross are not pictured.
