Following a recent trial verdict concerning domestic violence that took place in Montezuma County, we, at Renew/WINGS Safehouse, want the community to know that we are available with free and 100 percent confidential, 24/7, 365 days-a-year services.
While the circumstances in this case may raise concerns of coming forward, asking for help and being believed, this legal action is far from the national norm. If you are in need of help with domestic violence in your life or in the life of someone you know, please call Renew’s crisis hotline at (970) 565-2100. Trained advocates are here to listen and explore options.
Renew also has WINGS Safehouse, a temporary shelter, that is here to offer safety in a crisis situation. Silence and isolation only help the abuser. At Renew you are believed; it is not your fault, there is assistance available. We realize this community struggles with understanding the dynamics of domestic violence.
If you have questions, want to volunteer or would like more information, please visit our website at www.renew-inc.org or call us at (970) 565-4886. Free community education trainings are offered every spring and fall. The next training will take place in October.
