Herefords have proved the ideal breed for Marshall and Barbara Ernst, who ranch near Windsor. The Marshall’s Herefords are sold to other Hereford breeders, but they also cross-breed well, especially with Angus. The babies then are called Black Baldies and are an in-demand breed.
