The Shirt Tail Cousins Reunion will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 28. If you are married in, adopted, step, half or of blood line to the Fish, Gray, Clawson, Vinson, Moore, McDonald, Hackett, Wright, Stafford, Dennison, Easter families — and all the rest of them — attend the reunion in the Cortez City Park. There will be a potluck meal at 11 a.m., and live music all day. The Shirt Tail Reunion committee and family choose a local charity or organization to support each year. The family has designated The Clampers as the recipient of the donation from this year’s event. This organization originated in Scotland as a renegade team that rescued families when men were killed at war. Clampers have been around as long as the Masons. They are known for assisting widows and orphans, as well as others who are in dire need. They give an annual scholarship to a local high school student as well. Pictured, above is ancestor Faye Gray in a covered wagon. Contact Jody Fish Badding for details at 505-947-8685 or by email at [email protected].
