Eli Tomac wrapped up the American Motorcyclist Association supercross season at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., on May 7.
Tomac placed fourth in the supercross Lites West race in Las Vegas on his Honda CRF250R for Geico Powersports Honda factory racing team, to finish the season in second-place in the final Lites West standings with 181 points. Broc Tickle, of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki racing, won the Lites West championship with 187 points.
Tomac won the Lites West race the week before in Salt Lake City, Utah, at Rice-Eccles Stadium on April 30. It was his second win of the AMA supercross season.
Now the outdoor motocross season begins today at the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Sacramento, Calif. It was at Hangtown one year ago where Tomac made professional motocross sports history by winning his pro debut.
