The Dolores Bears football team held its end of the year banquet on Wednesday and head coach Chris Trusler announced team members named to the Southern Peaks all-conference teams.
Senior quarterback Jalen Balderrama and junior wide receiver/defensive back Tristen Medina were each named first team all conference.
Balderrama passed for a league-leading 1021 yards and seven touchdowns on the season and Medina led the league with 437 yards receiving and four touchdown receptions.
Senior Josh McCoy and freshman Forrest Pejsa represented the Bears as second team all conference selections.
McCoy led the Bears in rushing, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and finishing the season with 525 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
At linebacker, Pejsa led the team with 119 tackles, which were good for second most in the Southern Peaks league.
Junior Tyln Yarbrough and senior Branden Donaldson were each honorable mentions.
Yarbrough played offensive and defensive line and saw time at fullback later in the season.
Donaldson broke his collarbone in the season-opener against Coal Ridge, but he returned in the Bears’ final game against Ignacio and rushed for 91 yards in the season-ending 34-0 victory.
