The Montezuma county commissioners need to keep publishing all public notices, including land use and zoning notices in The Journal. The newspaper is the best way for people to know what is going on. Not everyone uses a computer.
Some money spent on public tax notices is spent on publication notices and is recouped in delinquent tax notices when the taxes are paid.
It seems ironic to me that two of our own commissioners seem concerned about the cost of using The Journal when their families own businesses with little competition that most people will have to use on death of a family member and some will probably use sooner or later if they buy or sell livestock.
Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
