Steve Blackwell was one of about 200 Vietnam-era veterans honored Monday at the annual Pearl Harbor Day recognition ceremony. Mancos VFW Post Commander David Johnson told his fellow Vietnam veterans to “stand proud, stand tall.” The average Vietnam infantryman saw 240 days of combat, compared with 40 days experienced by World War 11 veterans.
