By 11 a.m. a crowd was lined up for P&D Grocery’s annual community Thanksgiving Dinner in Mancos. Rob Kirks, co-owner, says the staff cooked 16 turkeys and 64 pounds of ham this year, as they expect around 300 to come through the doors. “We do this every year as a way to say thank you to our customers and give people who don’t have a place to go, somewhere,” said Kirks.
