In response to “God expelled from U. S. schools, sports” (Letters, Journal, Oct. 13), Article 6 of the Constitution and the First Amendment of the Constitution, upon which our laws are based, take care of that. Schools are part of the state.
As to religion taken out of professional sports, take that up with the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, etc.
Military chaplains are not prevented from mentioning Jesus.
That is a lie spread by Texas evangilist and political activist David Barton.
