The Panthers offense looked much improved, but their only score came in the fourth quarter, when Cordell Ridings connected with Josh Ramos, who outran everybody for a 75-yard touchdown reception.
Mancos beats Sangre de Christo in final seconds
The Mancos Blue Jays won in thrilling fashion against the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds.
The Blue Jays went into halftime trailing 12-14, then jumped out to a 34-20 third quarter lead, before the Thunderbirds rallied back to tie the game at 34 in the fourth quarter.
The Blue Jays found themselves with the ball in Sangre de Cristo territory with under a minute remaining and the score knotted at 34.
Then, with just four seconds on the clock, quarterback Drew Morgan dropped back and connected with Bowen Strazza-Whalen for a 13-yard touchdown as time expired, giving the Blue Jays a 40-34 victory.
