The Cortez Journal on Friday night launched its new website and social media sites as part of its consolidation of The Cortez Journal, Dolores Star and Mancos Times. The consolidation process wraps up Friday, Oct. 2, with printed versions of The Journal.
The new website includes individual sections for news from Cortez, Dolores and Mancos. You will find it at the-journal.com. To see news from Dolores and Mancos, click on the “News” tab at the top.
The Journal’s new Facebook page is www.facebook.com/TheJournalCO. Like the consolidated newspaper, it includes news from the Dolores Star and Mancos Times Facebook pages. The Journal’s Twitter link is now twitter.com/thejournalco.
Beginning Oct. 2, readers in Cortez, Dolores and Mancos will receive their news under the flag of The Journal. New sky-blue news racks will be at vending locations, and single copies of the newspaper will continue to cost 75 cents.
These are big changes for readers of The Journal, and we thank you for your patience as we move forward.
