Gladys Cook, 101, sorts her apples Saturday at the CSU Research Station's annual "U-Pick" day. The Colorado State University Extension's annual apple harvest featured 40-plus varieties of fruit at 50 cents per pound on a first-come, first-serve basis. There were limited quantities of fruit this year because of a late freeze, and a hailstorm damaged some of the fruit, but the CSU extension station said some leftover fruit might be available.
