The Montezuma-Cortez High School Lady Panthers soccer team split a pair of Southwestern League games in Grand Junction last Friday and Saturday.
M-CHS (6-5, 2-5 4A SL) lost a 3-2 overtime thriller to Grand Junction High School when Whitney Ravan knocked in the winning goal in the last 30 seconds of overtime off an assist from Ashley Wallace. It was Ravans second goal of the game. Allison Porter and Baylee Lindsley had goals for the Lady Panthers.
Against Grand Junction Central, it was all M-CHS en route to a 4-0 win. Dominique Wilkin and Porter each scored two goals as the Lady Panthers swept the season series over the Warriors. Porter also had an assist in the game. Brianna States, Abby Engel and Kylee Sitton all had assists in the win.
M-CHS will finish the regular season on a four-game home stand starting with Fruita Monument and Montrose on Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. at Johnson Field.
