Fall registration is under way at our Southwest Colorado Community College locations in Durango and Mancos, and officials are encourage prospective students to sign up for classes now. The start of fall classes is just over four weeks away - all classes start Aug. 24. But SCCC is encouraging students to hurry in and register before Aug. 7 to ensure a space in their classes of choice.
Besides having increased options of open class sections, dates and times, registering now instead of later has other benefits for both continuing and new students. Early registration also helps students avoid the stress level of being part of the hectic, late enrollment rush.
Making an appointment with an adviser at either campus is encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome.

SCCC offers guaranteed academic transfer classes and associate's degrees. In addition, the two-year college offers degrees and certificates in cosmetology, law enforcement, fire science, EMT, radiologic technology, MRI and CT, medical assistant, welding and automotive service technology. SCCC also offers programs to become a certified nursing assistant in just five weeks and in three semesters a student can become a medical assistant with a certificate or degree. SCCC also has a popular registered nursing program.
Pueblo Community College was recently spotlighted as one of the top four colleges in the country for "adding value" to a student's college years. SCCC is a division of Pueblo Community College.
Come in and get registered today! The Go!Zones are located at 701 Camino del Rio, Durango and 33057 Hwy. 160 between Mancos and Cortez. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays through Aug. 21, 2015. The Go!Zone will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015.
When registering, new students should sign up for one of four orientations that are scheduled in August.

Durango
Monday, Aug. 17, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Mancos
Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 2 to 5 p.m.
