Holgate nominated for seminar
Dolores sophomore Tristan Holgate has been nominated for the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership seminar in Lakewood on June 11. Each year, a sophomore is nominated by teachers based on leadership skills. The seminar includes skill-building activities and presentations.
FFA students attend state meet
Dolores FFA students attended the state convention in Pueblo June 2-4. You can watch live webcasts of sessions on the BARN Media website, who partnered with Colorado Ag News Network to make the webcast possible.
Summer Sports
Basketball Open Gym is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-7 p.m. in the main gym. Current high school students and incoming freshman are welcome. The boys are participating in the Skyhawks tournament at Fort Lewis College, June 4-7. The girls are preparing for a tournament in Pagosa Springs on June 19-20. There are spots on both rosters for incoming freshman. If you have any questions,contact Larry Schwartz.
Deadline for football camp
Today is the last day to register second- and eighth-graders for the Southwest Football camp. The camp takes place June 11-12 at the Parque De Vida. Registration is $40; pick up a form at the Cortez Rec Center, High Mesa Designs, or by emailing [email protected].
