The Dolores Public Library will be the place to be this summer, whether you want to take part in the super hero-themed reading group, watch a movie, play with legos or get free lunch.
Starting June 9 running through Aug. 14, children who go to the Dolores Library can get a free lunch Monday through Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. On Tuesdays between 1 and 3 p.m. there will be the Heroes Summer Reading Program. On Wednesdays at 10 a.m. there will be the preschool story time and on Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. there will either be Lego club or a movie on alternating Fridays.
Sign ups for the Summer Reading Program will start at the library on June 1.
Bring your school reading log to the library every two weeks and you will get to put your name in the jar for prizes. Also, the library will donate 10 cents for every book you read to the Canine Search and Rescue.
The math program includes a bedtime math program. Do the online math problem every night. Bring in your star chart every two weeks and add your name to the prize jar.
The lunch program is in partnership with the Piñon Project and will provide lunch for all children 1 to 18 years old. No child will be turned away.
Contact Kelly Proctor with lunch questions at 515-7013.
