5:18 p.m. A 95-year-old man in Dolores allegedly punched his grandson in the nose after throwing canned food at him. When the grandson was located, he said he was woken up in the middle of the night by his grandpa throwing canned food. The grandson said his grandfather keeps accusing him of stealing stuff and later finding it. He said his grandpa was getting "mean and out of control." The grandfather suffered from a laceration to his forehead and the grandson had a bloody nose. The grandson advised his grandfather had never hit him before and that he loves him and would never hurt him. The deputy interviewed both the grandfather and the grandson but it was hard to get the grandfather's side of the story because he is hard of hearing. No charges were filed in the case.
