Distillery hosts Dolores favorite the Porchlights
The Mancos Valley Distillery will host the Porchlights Friday, May 15. The doors open at 5 p.m., and music starts 8 p.m. The cover charge is $3.
It all started on the Porch in 1996 when Deb and Kneebone used to jam on the back porch at Deb's shanty on Lone Tree Drive in Flagstaff, Ariz. What started out as a casual music party became more when it was clear that there was a chemistry between the two. When jams turned into songs they "hit the road" and are now performing at concerts, festivals, clubs, coffeehouses and breweries in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
The Porchlights have released five CDs, and the sixth album is currently in production and will feature original songs recorded at the Friendly Eddie Studios in Dolores.
