Playing in Durango on April 8, the Montezuma-Cortez High School girls soccer team suffered another tough loss, falling to Durango High School, 4-0. With the loss, the Lady Pathers fell to 2-6-0 on the season.
M-CHS managed to keep things close throughout the first half thanks to several impressive saves by goal keeper Elizabeth Loschert, who made 11 total saves in the game.
Durango finally broke through in the 38th minute however, when Maddie Robertson scored to put her team ahead 1-0.
The Demons then added two second half goals by Lauren Milliet and a second half goal by Chloe Taylor, while playing solid defense to secure the shutout.
Next up for M-CHS will be a home game against Fruita Monument High School on April 17, followed by a home game against Alamosa on April 18.
