Four States Ag Expo: Staff picks

The three-day Four States Ag Expo concludes Saturday at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds.
If you attend, The Cortez Journal recommends the following must-see events.
9 a.m.: Youth/Novice Extreme Trail Riding Challenge Competition. A timed obstacle course for horse and rider.
10 a.m.: Ag Summit. J. Paul Brown and other politicians discuss recent agricultural issues.
11:30 a.m. – Shawna Davis Stock Dogs. Demonstration of the centuries-old relationship between sheep, dogs and ranchers.
1 p.m.: Industrial Hemp Documentary. Screening of “Bringing It Home” followed by a Q&A with hemp farmer Ryan Loflin.
3 p.m.: Pedal Tractor Pulls Finals. Children ages 4 to 7 compete in this friendly family-oriented competition.
TICKETS: Kids 16 and under are admitted to the agricultural exposition free of charge. Adult entry fees are $5 each.
