The Cortez FFA Chapter will celebrate National FFA Week, Feb. 21-28. This year’s theme is Go All Out!, and it embraces more than 80 years of FFA traditions while looking forward to the organization’s future.
Designated as National FFA Week in 1947, the week of George Washington’s birthday is FFA Week, and runs from Saturday to Saturday.
Cortez FFA will celebrate National FFA Week by wearing official dress and chapter T-shirts at school, putting up FFA and agriculture-related window displays on Main Street, raising money to benefit a local student in need of a kidney transplant, having a school-wide Flannel Friday dress up day to raise money for the new school, selling DJ’s meat and cookie products, daily agriculture facts about the announcements, and having an agricultural coloring contest for students in the second grade.
National FFA Week is sponsored by Tractor Supply Co. as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
