The Four Corners Home & Garden Show is in its 15th year of production, and this year, event coordinators have significantly lowered booth prices to entice more businesses to participate.
The show, put on every spring by the Four Corners Builders Association, allows local companies to showcase their products and services to thousands of attendees in one weekend. This year, booth prices start at $150 compared with $295 in 2014.
“With the economy, we’ve had up-and-down years, but every year we try to make it better,” said Russ Sweezey, chairman of the Home & Garden Show planning committee. “We lowered the prices this year to make it more affordable, especially for a lot of businesses just starting out. What better way to get your name out there?”
Many of the Four Corners Building Association members involved with planning the event, have been exhibitors themselves for years.
“A lot of times, people I meet at the show come back or call me, or refer other It’s people that you’re not likely to see anywhere else,” said Steve Wilderson, owner of Sleeping Ute Construction.
This year’s show will be April 10-11 at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds in Cortez. In addition to the business booths, the event also features a Classic Car Show.
So far, 53 of the 88 exhibitor available spaces have been reserved.
