Principal Brandon Thurston showed off the sound system on Tuesday.
"This will make it so much easier to hear," Thurston said.
The additions will allow increased quality of sound in the gym for games, productions and presentations on the 13-foot-screen.
"We want to thank the individuals for their generous donations to our school and students," athletic director Jimmie Lankford said.
Bully prevention
Elementary students will learn how to stop bullying this month.
Counselor Karen Finch and Principal Sherri Maxwell will work with students and give presentations on bullying the week of Jan. 20.
Technology on the rise
This year has been the year of technology for Dolores Elementary School, according to Maxwell. At the end of the 2013-2014 school year, the district got high-speed Internet service, and it has opened doors to integrate new technology into the school.
The PTA continues to support technology efforts by purchasing computers. And the school is adding two new computer carts.
