Kids, show your free-throw skills at the 43rd annual Elks Hoop Shoot on Dec. 6 at the Cortez Middle School gymnasium.
Registration begins at noon, with the opening ceremony at 12:45 p.m. The competition starts at 1 p.m.
There will be categories for girls and boys ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Contestants will be grouped by their ages as of April 1, 2015, so students born between April 1, 2002, and April 1, 2007, will be eligible to compete. Proof of birthdate is required.
Kids 10-13 will shoot from the regulation foul line; younger kids ill stand 4 feet in front of that line.
