Mancos High School Student Council and National Honor Society have decided to join forces this year for another wide scale food drive and Toy Drive. As you all may know, these organizations do not receive monetary payments for such events. These organizations strive to make the community better by raising funds and/or holding charitable donations.
The Mancos High School Student Council and National Honor Society are asking for small donations. We accept any nonperishable food. These organizations are also asking for any food donations that we may use to make a thanks giving meal with being that we have made a goal of sending out 10 baskets of a complete Thanksgiving meals for large families in our community who have financial problems. We are asking for anything you may find on a Thanksgiving table such as: turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, or anything you can donate. The Food Drive officially started Nov. 5, 2014 and will end on Nov. 19.
Although, it is a month away, The Mancos High School Student Council and National Honor Society have decided to prepare for the toy drive early. We are asking for any donations of Christmas Wrapping paper. Please know that we receive hundreds of toys that we distribute to children of a certain area, and this year it is the Mancos Elementary School.
