Competing at the Class 2A District Tournament in Ridgway on Oct. 25, the Mancos High School volleyball team struggled mightily.
The Bluejays managed to squeak through to Regionals however, thanks to a third-place finish in the four-team tournament.
Opening the tournament against No. 2 seed Dolores, Mancos struggled through a tough first game on its way to a 25-7, 25-22, 25-22 loss.
The Bluejays then lost to top-seed Ridgway, 25-23, 25-23, 25-13.
Mancos next faced off against Telluride and despite some scary moments, the Bluejays emerged victorious, 21-15, 25-21, 12-25, 25-13, 16-14.
Its win over Telluride, advances Mancos to the Region G Tournament, in Dolores on Nov. 1.
Mancos is seeded third in the Regional Tournament. The Bluejays will play against top-seed Dolores at 9 a.m. and against No. 2 seed Cedaredge at 11 a.m. The top finisher in the Regional Tournament will advance to state.
