After a great start, the Montezuma-Cortez High School volleyball team is in a free fall.
Playing on the road against Durango on Oct. 2, the Panthers suffered their third straight loss, falling to their rivals, 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.
Leading the way for M-CHS in defeat, Naomi Pinnecoose had 16 kills, Rylee Lindsley had 15 kills, and Laurel Chappell had 25 assists.
The Panthers fell to 10-6 on the season. M-CHS, fourth in the Southwest League at 2-3, plays on the road against Grand Junction on Oct. 11.
