San Juan College Planetarium will present AstroFriday featuring “Apollo 13 – Houston We’ve Got a Problem” at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday on Zoom.
The 28-minute video depicts the voyage of Apollo 13, which changed from a lunar landing to a desperate fight for crew survival. The film ends with the worldwide relief and joy when astronauts James Lovell, John Swigert and Fred Haise splash down on target in the Pacific Ocean.
After the video, a short sky show will be presented of the evening sky of April.
To join the presentation, visit www.sanjuancollege-edu.zoom.us/j/96846254026 with meeting ID 968 4625 4026.
Any participants who are disruptive or vulgar will be permanently removed from the presentation. Once the presentation begins, a lock will be placed on the meeting.
If weather permits, a virtual stargaze will be held using the same Zoom session.
