Chronic wasting disease found in Colorado’s Four Corners

A mule deer head is set up in Dolores to have its lymph nodes removed as part of a chronic wasting disease study by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Chronic wasting disease was found in deer harvested in these game management units during the 2020 hunting season.
The lymph node of a mule deer harvested in fall will be sent to a lab in Fort Collins to test for chronic wasting disease.
