The Dolores Star
Fisherman are reporting good fishing in the area, according to Tom Rowell at the Riverside Convenience Store in Dolores.
Reports are coming from Groundhog that the fishing is getting good as the snowmelt settles down. That trickles down to McPhee Reservoir, where the bass are starting to be more active, Rowell said. The Dolores River, he added, is also starting to clean up for the fly fisherman.
"It's getting good," he said.
Rowell sells fishing supplies and flies at the Riverside store. He knows the ones that are working and right now, he said, flies with yellow in them, seem to be doing well.
In addition to supplies, you can also purchase a fishing license and rent boats at Riverside.
