The Southwestern Colorado Livestock Association annual meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at Montezuma County Fairgrounds.
The morning session will begin with reports from elected officials. State legislative issues will be addressed by Sen. Don Coram and Rep. Marc Catlin.
Representatives from the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and other organizations will provide updates on agriculture and community issues.
The Southwestern Cowbelles will provide lunch at noon. The business meeting will begin at 1 p.m. with regular business and election of directors. Both session will also be available on Zoom.

A steak dinner will be at 7 p.m. and will include the announcement of the Stockman of the Year and Cowbelle of the Year.
Dance music will be provided by The Vanishing Breed Band. ”
Dinner and dance tickets may be purchased from any board member and at the door. Cost is $35 each. The dance will begin at 9 p.m. Dance tickets are only available at the door for $5 per person.
A silent auction will be held with proceeds awarded as scholarships to local youths. For more information or to contribute, contact a board member.
