No longer is a volunteer just a parent of the school. Everyone is welcome. There are plenty of tasks throughout any day that teachers would be willing to delegate to a trusted individual.
Helping out with crosswalk and lunch room duty are priceless. This creates an opportunity for the teachers to focus on what really matters, classroom preparation and student progress.
Additionally, those volunteers are utilized in the classroom supporting staff by working with smaller groups and helping to maintain order and focus.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of those that contributed their time for the 2013-2014 school year: Barbara Blackford, Andy Brown, Becca Samulski, Brandy Hale, Darrel Ellis, Gloria Thatch-Woody, Janice Archuleta, John Wright, Joyce Poulsen, Katie Cahill-Volpe, Laura Franklin, Lee Jaklik, Leslie Patana, Maddy Williams, Mallory Miera, Patsy Smith, Sarah Johnson, Terry Connell and Theresa Oakes.
The total hours contributed was over 1,577. You folks are amazing.
