City of Cortez refuse and recycling crews will not work Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
Friday’s trash and recycling will instead be picked up Thursday, Dec. 24. Residents should put out their trash and recycling items Wednesday night, or no later than 5 a.m. Thursday.
The public drop-off center will be cleared on Thursday for weekend users.

City offices will close at noon Thursday and reopen at 8 a.m. Monday both weeks.
