A 22-year-old Durango man had stepped outside his Jeep to direct a driver around a tight turn on Black Bear Pass near Telluride, when the Jeep, with a 23-year-old female friend in the passenger seat, rolled off the pass eventually landing on Bridal Veil Road. The woman was flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction with what were described as serious, traumatic injuries.
