10:37 a.m. A man was bitten by a neighbor’s dog in the 28600 block of County Road P.8. He declined to press charges.

Friday, Sept. 18

1:19 p.m. A shotgun, squash blossom necklace, watch and money were reported stolen in the 1300 block of Merritt Way. A woman was suspected of the theft, but the owner declined to press charges.

Thursday, Sept. 24

2:24 p.m. A man was arrested on outstanding warrants and cited on suspicion of resisting arrest in the 28600 block of U.S. Highway 491.

4:44 p.m. During a traffic stop, a woman was arrested on active warrants and cited on suspicion of driving on a suspended license in the 42000 block of U.S. Highway 160. A male passenger was also arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.

5:24 p.m. A car crashed into a fence, and the driver left the scene in the 200 block of South Eighth Street. The driver returned and offered to pay for the damages. The homeowner declined to press charges.

Sunday, Oct. 27

7:58 p.m. A handgun was found in the 28000 block of Colorado Highway 145. It was turned over to the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuesday, Oct. 29

10:11 a.m. A male inmate was served with two warrants out of New Mexico for possession of a controlled substance and shoplifting and for receiving or transferring stolen vehicles at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:17 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order at the ASP Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:50 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:40 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in the 700 block of South Broadway.

5:44 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of reckless driving and speeding in the 10000 block of Colorado Highway 145.

7:26 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:18 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of reckless driving and speeding in the 37000 of U.S. Highway 160.

Saturday, Oct. 3

2:36 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating three protection orders by consuming alcohol in the 28500 block of U.S. Highway 160. He was uncooperative during arrest.
