The article “Counterprotesters confront Walk for Justice: ‘You’re not welcome here’” (Sept. 26) missed a few crucial points.
In the face of harassment, the march stayed polite and peaceful. While the marchers focused on the ideals that make America strong, the counterprotesters had little to offer except for confrontation and insults.
There were at least three times as many marchers than counterprotesters.
The passing cars that chose to express themselves did so overwhelmingly in favor of the marchers. Judging by that, Montezuma County stands firmly for the American values of equality and justice for all.
